Leadership
From Turnaround Business Leader and Award-Winning CIO to Entrepreneur and CEO
Irene Jeremic, L.L.M., MBA, B.Sc.
President & Chief Executive Officer
The Tableau Inc. team of researchers, analysts, data engineers and solution architects is lead by Ms. Irene Jeremic. With over 10 years of executive management experience and over 15 years of senior management experience with business turnarounds, eTechnologies, client services and customer satisfaction, Irene Jeremic is one of the most experienced Turnaround Business Leaders.
She holds a B.Sc. in Computing Science from the Simon Fraser University, a MBA from Athabasca University and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Osgoode Hall, York University.
Upon graduating from SFU, Irene joined the SFU’s Research Team, working on Industry Canada’s global eTechnologies project involving over 200 Canadian corporations and academic entities. Barely over 30 years of age, she got promoted to the SFU spin-off company, eLearning Solutions’ VP Business and Customer Relations, where she lead business development and client relations for United Nations.
As a connoisseur of rapid business development (RBD), Irene was approached by the BC-based 1500-employee company, Stork Craft, to perform a makeover of the entire corporation. As Stork Craft’s Global Chief Information Officer, Head of eCommerce, IT and Sales Services and Corporate Executive Advisor, Irene re-defined business standards for the furniture making business. She managed enterprise-level international projects and within just four years, she developed Stork Craft’s eCommerce from around 5% to 50% of the corporate revenues.
Irene performed business assessment and delivered paramount business solutions working with the largest North American retail chains, such as: Wal-Mart, Target, Amazon, ToysRUs, Sears, The Brick, Hudson’s Bay Company (formerly The Bay and Zellers), United Consumers Club, Meijer, eChannel Solutions, BabiesRUs, Bed Bath and Beyond, TJ’s The Kiddie Store, BJs, Simply Baby Furniture, CSN All Childrens Furniture, CSN Bedroom Furniture Direct, CSN Baby, Walgreens, Department of Navy, AAFES, Baby Earth, and others.
Some of her deliverables at Stork Craft were: (1) up to 300% year-after-year sales increase due to thoughtful use of syndicated retail information; (2) use of data as seen through consumers’ eyes to deliver improvements from 60% on-time performance to 99% or better; and (3) delivering up to 400% improvements in the overall customer satisfaction.
